Thankful....

Since I posted last I have:

  • Cleaned
  • Walked and walked and walked (now my butt hurts)
  • Played games on my computer
  • Played with my grandchildren
  • AND was greatly relieved  to see that Debbie is doing good and others that I've been concerned about.
  • Been taking one extra anti-anxiety pill.  It's amazing how well those things work! :)
I really do have problems with anxiety and depression.  Both clinical.  Years and years I've been on medicine and talked out things with a therapist.  It's all helped.  I told my grandson and daughter one day, "I've been feeling so depressed and grouchy".   My grandson looked at me with surprise and said "You have?"  I guess if he and my daughter couldn't see it, then it hasn't been as bad as I thought.  Or has it?  I try to smile at myself everyday in the mirror. It actually works to cheer you up and give you a more positive outlook for the day.  Plus I love laughing at Tiah.  She is such a little cutie.  BIG, BIG cutie.  She tries to sit on my lap, comes up and tries to get attention, and all I can see is fur and legs and nails digging into my legs.  My favorite time is when I'm watching TV and playing on my computer at the same time, she comes up and lays down on the couch with me, making sure she is touching me in some way.  I can't help but lay my head on her and listen to her breathe.  She usually brings her WET nose around and gives me a BIG lick.

So, what I'm thinking, is that I need to count my blessings.  Now please know this, I do count my blessing everyday.  I'm not ignorant to the miracles in my life, but sometimes it just does a soul good to write them down.  So here goes, and there will probably be a new one everyday.  I would love to see what makes you all happy too, what you are thankful for, even if it's you didn't get one fly in the house today.  Filling our hearts with gratitude is a good thing for our hearts.

  1. I am so grateful for all of you who are my blogging friends.  You mean more to me than you know.
  2. I'm grateful for the opportunity to vote, and hopefully make a good change for this wonderful country we live in.  (Be really glad when it's over already)))))
  3. I'm grateful for my home.
More for another day.  I would love to hear what you are grateful for!

I love your blog and your honesty...I have often had/have the same struggles...sometimes it helps so much to know that someone else is going through the same thing! We all truly have so much to be thankful for and I have found that message from the old hymn "Count Your Many Blessings" really does work! Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your week!

I am very thankful for my blog friends - each and every one. Like you, I'm thankful to have a home, and transportation and be able to drive. My late mom and husband could not/can not drive. You are a very special young lady and I get the biggest smile when you share Tiah's pics!

Hey Susan, I just signed up for an online class called writing our way home. I am going to be posting something called SMALL STONES, which for me will be something that I look at carefully and appreciate. Check it out, and you might like the writing our way home website! Glad you are a bit better!

Thankful for my son and his family who live close by.

Pets are such good company, aren't they?!

I am grateful that you are feeling better! I'm always glad to hear good news from blogging friends.

I'm thankful for my precious family and that we all get along so well. And for my furbabies who also bring a smile to my face just like Tiah does for you. Aren't they just so special?

Thanks for the reminder to count my blessings and to write them down. Take care!

I think stopping and reflecting on how much we have, even being thankful for the little things, helps to get us back on the right frame of mind. It's not always easy to look at the 'good' I know as there is so much 'bad' out there. But as long as we keep trying to see everything we are grateful for...then it will always be a good day!

Big hugs Susan!

You rock Susan, you just don't know it!

Today, I am thankful for everything. I am thankful I have dirty clothes to wash and a washing machine to wash them in. I am thankful for light, for heat.....for my home and my wonderful husband.

Today I am thankful to receive my infusion, that will surely make me feel and walk better!

Today, I am happy to be alive and to see that you worried about me......you didn't have to but you did! Because you are a dear, kind, beautiful soul!
