A hawk....

I had just gotten home, and I glanced out the window.  I saw this hawk.  Long legs and chewing on a little bird it had caught.  Never have I seen a hawk in my backyard.  When Tiah went outside, he took off with the bird in his claws.  I saw him again, hanging around today when I got home.  Gross!

I have a very small dog so I get really concerned when I see them around. Since I feed birds in my front yard..it seems to attract cats and hawks from time to time. I even posted a photo of one I caught sitting on the back of my wicker chair on the front porch. Talk about brazen!
Thank's so much for your visit! It was nice to see you.

It's all a part of the cycle of life...but sometimes I wish everything was a herbivore!

I know it's all natural, but it is very hard to watch, especially when I love the little birds so much more than those mean hawks.

I hate to see animals killed by other animals or birds, but I know that is just the nature of things. Poor little bird.

I see them quite a bit OVER my yard….and it makes me nervous for the birdies at my feeders. Yikes.

Looks like a cooper's hawk. Not fun to watch, but all God's children gotta eat.

Gosh! I've never seen a hawk so close to a house before. Interesting.
