Exhausted....

I took these a couple of weeks ago.  Been paying for it ever since.  My doctor said I damaged my knee somehow.  So, tomorrow I go to a orthopedic doctor again.  He said I may need to have it scoped.  Something about the meniscus being damaged.  I put off going to the doctor every time because I just don't have the money to pay for it.  Yes, I do have health insurance, but the extra fees leave me scared.  Anyway, I'll let you know what's going on tomorrow.  The last few weeks have been hard, I can hardly walk, and getting up takes all my upper body strength to lift me off the couch.  I am exhausted.  I have had a lot of changes going on, and I can't access the computer as much as I used to.  I apologize for not visiting as much as I used to.

I have painful knees too and was going to have surgery at Christmastime but doctor said he wasn't sure it would help to I put it off. I totally understand how painful that can be so I hope you can get some relief through surgery or whatever else can be done. Do enjoy your week. I love your pictures!

Around 5-6 years back, when I was about 17, I had a meniscal tear while playing football (soccer). What the doc did after a CT Scan was to get me on some anti-inflammatory tablets and physiotherapy.

If you are not too keen on going to a doctor, I recommend mild anti-inflammatory medicine and knee exercises at home. From what you write, looks like you too have a grade 2 (moderate) tear. See this page. Also, you can try exercising at home, like in this file.

Googling about meniscal tears and knee rehabilitation exercises might help. If you have a sports-oriented neighbor, friend or relative, they might have information. Hope you recover soon.

First, I LOVE your photos. Always do. The green is so pretty.

Regarding your knee and the funds to pay for medical care: I can completely relate. However, it could become worse with time and ultimately more expensive. Have you tried fish oil? It has helped me immensely. Just a short term thing though. Please, find a way to get the care you so desperately need. You are in my thoughts, my friend.

I sure know where you are coming from...my arm slows me down so much. Such stupid little moves can cause so much pain. There for a while, was waking up and crying a little every morn.
