Flooding the pasture....



I'm pretty sure these are some kind of heron.  The farmer was flooding the pasture, which is what my Grandfather used to do.  It is so beautiful, so much farmland and pasture.

Oh, my, how lovely!!! And the ibis are gorgeous. Look like glossy ibis but could be white faced. Maybe a better birder than me will be along.

beautiful images susan, that stream and ramshackle fence are perfect together.

i don't think they are herons, i think tex is right, maybe ibis. i never see herons hanging out in groups like that. they usually wade in shallow water or hang out in trees!!

I love the old fashioned way of irrigating. It's the way that my grandpa, and dad did irrigating also.
