Oh my gosh, BUGS! I've lived alone for 15 years now. So, I've had to get used to taking care of things myself. Bugs are one of those THINGS. Cockroaches are the one bug that will still give me the creeps, but I handle it. I spray, I do whatever I need to do to keep the little creeps out of my house. I'm not a fan of spiders either, but I will kill one or catch one and put it back outside where it belongs. But now, and I mean now, I have been officially and totally creeped out. Last night I went to my daughters to babysit while she went out with some friends for dinner. When she came home she walked out to my car with me. All of a sudden she ducked, and said what is that? A hummingbird? Well, it landed on my car. AND it WASN'T a hummingbird. It was a GIGANTIC bug.
When it didn't move I sidled into my car, made sure the windows were up, and started to drive home thinking the wind would blow it off my car. Nope! I finally went to the highway and had to drive 50 miles per hour to get it off. I drove home and pulled into my garage. Later on I had just laid down on my bed when I heard the cat playing with something on the floor. Whatever it was it was making noise, protesting the cat playing with it. I turned on the light and there was another one of those bugs. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I grabbed a towel and threw it on the bug. It took me a few minutes to gather it up, and I threw the towel and bug out the window and slammed it shut! So I sleep ok, getting up in the morning, taking a shower, off to work. So I get home today, and I take apart my bedroom and bathroom so I could vacuum and clean up everything. I get the vacuum and proceed into the bathroom and there on the floor is, you guessed it, THE BUG! I screamed. Ok, I'm no sissy, but oh my gosh! It's no less than 2 or 3 inches long, with feelers at least as long as it is. Six legs. It didn't move, but boy oh boy did I. I ran out of there. It took me awhile to get brave enough to go back in. It still hadn't moved. Ok it's dead, but now what do I do? It actually took me two or three tries to get myself close enough to pick it up with the hose from the vacuum. It hardly fit in the freakin hose! I took the bin out and emptied it right away. I still have the shivers, and I'm still freaked out. I looked at my cat, and told her that if she EVER brought another bug like that in my house again, she was out for good! All I got was this bored look like "whatever lady". It was a Texas sized bug. I have never seen anything like it here before. I am officially TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!
