This is I-15 heading north towards Cedar City. The Interstate has been closed now because the flames have jumped the road and the smoke is so bad, motorists can't see. |
So close to buildings. Most of the residents have been evacuated to Kanarraville. |
They have lost some buildings, I don't know if any homes have been destroyed yet. |

fire is my biggest fear, here, i think. i just HATE what is going on in the west right now! God bless the firefighters.
Magnificent photos but so sad. Praying for all those affected.
So sad to see what's happening in so many places. 20 minutes isn't all that far...stay safe!!
How awful Susan! I hope everyone and everything stays safe!

It's just devastating! I pray for your safety.
I was wondering how close the fires were to you...I figured you would tell if they were coming close. I wish we would all get rain...here there are burn bans all around...our yard is brittle to walk on. Just so dry....and temps are supposed to go over 100 today.
Oh dear GOD, I hope they get everyone out of the way & those horses, too!!! Florida has an abundance of water from the tropical storm, so why can't all that be dispersed evenly or where it's needed, ya know! Get out if you have to, Susan, but I pray you don't have to!!! Be careful
Oh Susan...
It's just terrible..... all the fires across the state!
We have been glued to the news, and praying that these fires are doused!!
You know I'm praying for you and the safety of everyone affected!!
Sending hugs..

SO frightening ... I pray for rain!
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this. Sure hope it can be contained soon!! You stay safe, hear?
I've been watching the news since we got back from Colorado- seems like fires are breaking out everywhere. I have a horrible feeling about what this summer has in store for us. Stay safe!~
Oh Susan,
How awful. We have heard here so much about the Colorado fires. And I haven't even listened to the Utah news.
I hope that someone took care of those horses.
I hope you are safe. Praying that all will be well.
Take care, Janet W ((hugs))
