A long time....

Yep, I've been gone awhile.  Been doing my best to be sane.  Anxiety attacks have been bad.  In fact my daughter Lottie and I were having the same things happening to us.  Luckily we both found understanding doctors to help us.  My doctor said it wasn't unusual considering the losses we've had in our family and our friends.  Just seeing my blog bookmark on my computer would cause great anxiety.  Weird.  But what I'm learning is that when I face the thing causing me to feel frightened and do what I need to do, my anxiety fades.  So, I have made myself post pictures again, and hopefully I will be visiting other sites soon.  I have really missed my blogging friends...

Anywho.......
My eldest son sent me money last Christmas to buy and install a french door where the slider used to be.  It's beautiful and I'm still getting used to it.  This is the view I see when I look outside from my kitchen.

The picture below is of a climbing rose I planted below an old chair last summer.  It's growing well and doing what I hoped it would do.  Growing up and out and over the old chair.

I have a lot of yard work to do.  Just this last weekend I planted a desert willow tree and a pomegranate bush.  It's been raining here a lot, for at least a week, so my yard has been mostly mud.  When I planted the bush, my foot sank up to my ankle in mud.  Guess I'll be washing those shoes soon.  Waiting for the mud to dry out so I can get it off before I wash them.  Putting in the tiny tree, I was crouching down, patting the dirt, lost my balance and fell back into the mud.  Crap, now my jeans and shirt had to be washed.    Oh well, if that's the worst that happens, then I'm doing okay right?

Hi Susan, I'm admiring the fact that you can crouch! :) I'm waiting for our soil to dry out so I can plant some sunflowers and finish up a flower bed.
Looking through the glass of that nice new door, I see a wonderful spot to sit and relax a bit when the gardening is done.
It's so good to see you back in blogland. Hope those anxiety attacks ease up. I've only had 2 or 3 of them in my life, but I've not forgotten how distressful they are. Take care.

you made me smile, getting covered in mud. i hope you laughed at the situation. sometimes that's just what you need. i'm sorry you've been struggling. and your daughter, too. we all face demons of one form or another. it's a shame that life is not easier, sometimes. yet, what blessings we still are given. *sigh*

a big hug from texas.

Heck, getting dirty is half the fun of gardening. Love your idea with that chair. You are such a wonderful gardener. I always admire your work.

Hard to do that yard work when it is so muddy. I agree that the best thing to do with anxiety is to just face what you are anxious about , then go on from there. Hope you are doing better!
