Food.....

Looks good doesn't it?  If it was put in front of me, I'd eat it, well at least some of it.
Now that grilled sandwich looks yummy!  I'd eat it if someone put it in front of me, well, at least half of it.  The other half would probably go down Tiah's throat.

I have had this problem for a while now.  I don't feel like eating. Now before you all go, wow, you lucky duck, you'll lose weight like crazy!.. It's not all it's cracked up to be.  I haven't been interested in food for a long time now.  My eldest son, who was here for a couple of months before he went back to France, lectured me, and warned me over and over about my diet.  I quote, "Mom you eat very unhealthy".  Ack, if I had to hear that one more time!  I was at the grocery store this evening on my way home from work, walking up and down aisles and not the least bit interested in buying any food.  I just get confused, and I don't like anything I look at.  Yes, I could just skip the grocery shopping, and go out, but there isn't a place in this town I'm interested in going to...that I can afford that is.  I used to love cooking, trying new things, eating healthy.  But now, it's just blah.  So...now what?  I guess if I actually lost weight it wouldn't be so bad, but that isn't happening.

you still have to fuel your body and your brain with something worthwhile, though. i eat a ton of the same things, over and over again, but i don't mind and it takes me a long time to get tired of them. find a few things you like - like i have fresh berries every day, and french bread with peanut butter almost every day. find something simple like rotisserie chicken that you don't have to cook but can have on hand for several meals. or the skillet meals like stouffer's puts together - a freezer meal in a sack that you cook in a skillet and it's actually pretty darn good! no major planning or cooking or even assembly. you've got to pick a few things like that to sustain you. losing weight is okay, but you've got to feed yourself, too.

Perhaps a trip to the doctor is in order to get things checked out? I'm like TexWisGirl. I tend to eat the same thing almost every day until I am tired of it. That is more from being a picky eater and an uncreative cook rather that not feeling like eating. LOL!

Either way - make sure you take care of yourself friend!

Oh that Tex is a very wise woman. You have to eat. I understand this.... things are tough for a lot of people right now and that appetite thing takes a back seat. Please take care of yourself you are so important to so many people. I am not the only one. HUGS HUGS B

Sorry to hear that food doesn't appeal to you right now, Susan. The one thing I can almost always eat is peanut butter on a crusty bread. Maybe it will work for you too.

I just went through this...but for me it only lasted 4 days. You do need to fuel that body and mind of yours....I agree with everyone else too; find one thing that you can at least get down. Peanut butter on toast will give you some of the good stuff you need.
XOXOXO

I agree with everyone else- you have to eat..but it sounds like you just have a lack of appetite, and nothing sounds good. Have you tried taking a stress/super B vitamin? Or maybe just a good multi-vitamin for women. You could have a low thyroid, or low iron..there could be a physical reason you aren't really wanting to eat. I hope things change for you soon. In the meantime..eat ice cream...I swear it is good for the soul! :)
