Just a few flowers.....

My Chaste Tree is blooming like crazy!
I planted some Guara this spring.  They are blooming too.  Great desert plant!
Tickweed, or Coreopsis.  Love this plant, grows great in the heat!
Purple Salvia, I really love this plant, comes back every year, bigger and better.
Blooms all summer.  Hardy desert plant.

Earlier I was playing with Tiah.  She gave me that front paws spread out, head down, butt in the air with her tail wagging like crazy.  So I hid from her, when she found me, I yelled boo and ran around a corner, when she finally decided which corner to go around to find me, I'd run to a different place.  I could tell she wasn't quite sure what the heck I was up to, but she seemed to enjoy it.  Didn't take me long to be out of breath!  So out of shape!  It is so hot and dry here.  Really saps your strength.  Because of water conservation I can only water between 8pm and 8am.  So I'm out pretty much every night watering my plants so they don't die on me.  I'm pretty sure I'm not as young as I used to be (duh) especially since I turned 62 last month, so I'm starting to figure that I'm gonna need some professional help to get my back yard in shape.  I also know now that I'm not wanting to mow lawn every Saturday like I used to.  So I need to design it with water conservation and heat and cold tolerant in mind.  I have a few ideas, and I will scan it and post it when I get my ideas on paper.  Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well.

Beautiful flowers.
I have always love coreopsis....it's easy to grow and such a happy looking plant :)

Best of luck with your back yard re-design.

Love that Tiah; playing hide-and go-seek with you.
She's got plenty of personality.

You are a very young looking 62! I hear you about the yard work. I have to pace myself and I love planting stuff that can requires little maintenance other than a weekly watering. Your flower shots are beautiful!

There is no way you are 62! I love all your flowers…who says the desert is brown?? NOT I.
Get someone to help you. When I just did my lanai over I knew it wasn't going to work with me doing it alone; best decision I've made is having someone help.

Your flowers look gorgeous with such bright colors. maybe a big rock garden between the flowers... not too much mowing.
