Perfect....

I'm gonna do my best to not compare myself to others, and celebrate my good efforts.  I also want to be more active in my children's lives and especially my grandchildren.  I don't mean be a noisy Mom, but just be there for more activities and have them over more.  And I'm gonna do my best to say to myself each day, "what can I DO for someone today".  Oh how I hate making resolutions at the beginning of each year.  But this year, I really want to accomplish this.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.

being present in your grandkids' lives seems so important. and i agree with you on the 'perfect' comparisons. i can sell myself short so easily, yet find taking compliments so difficult. *sigh*

Sounds like an excellent goal - and yes, what Theresa said. :-)

That a positive outlook for 2014- especially spending more time with the grands. I just want to be happy..so no goals to weigh me down like last year and so many before.

I hope it's a good one for you and your family!

I have a bad habit of judging myself too sharply...I'm getting better at seeing the good in myself...it is a process...Family time is the best....good for you

I applaud your goal! I didn't make resolutions because I seldom keep them. I do have a goal of sorts, tho, and that is probably the same one as the last few years...to try to live a healthier lifestyle and quit sitting on my butt so much. But, it's hard to blog standing up!! :) Happy New Year to you!
