What I'm giving....

This is what we will talk about during out Family Home Evening this Christmas Eve.  I started a tradition about 10 years ago, where we have a family dinner, and a small Christmas program.  I am usually the one who does the program, with lessons on Jesus Christ and how important it is to remember the reason for Christmas.  I always tell the kids that Santa is fun, and we should enjoy it, but don't forget that it's Christ's birthday.  I've been so sick the last 2 weeks that I am having everyone bring what they want to munch on, and I'm concentrating on what I'll do for our message.  This is part of our message.  Gifts we can give the Savior, and gifts we can give each other.

Merry Christmas to you all.  I've missed you, and as soon as I'm better I'll be back.

Love, Susan

Susan I am so sorry tht you have been sick, but very glad that you are able to let others do the eating part of your tradition, and you focus on the most important part of Christmas. I feel that this is one of the major reasons that God "made' grandmothers to teach and carry out the traditions, the history, and be the example of what it is to be a christian and to know the lord. Hope that you have a really blessed christmas day and that you get well very soon and feel loved and protected. Blessings to you! Your texas blog friend! Jeanne
