Thank you for all your comments about my dilemma about what to do about my dear pup and my plants. Saturday morning I got up and starting hammering posts in the ground, then I took some plastic fencing I've had and fenced in the planter and the vine. It may look silly but it's made a big difference in my stress level. She's still tried to dig up the vine, but I've been making an effort to react differently. I'm trying to stay calm and divert her attention to something else. It has made a difference. Hopefully it will continue to re-direct her brain to something else instead of digging. I don't know, but I'm gonna try it. I'll have to take some pictures to show you. I wanted to do that tonight, but didn't have the chance before it got dark.
Thanks again!
Susan

Sounds like a good approach - diverting her brain to something else.

Score on for you! May it keep working!
I hope it works...I still didn't think to ask Sarah if she did anything to get Otto to quit digging...I am so dumb sometimes.
