Worried....

I know I've told you about my Dad being in the hospital.  Well, all sorts of things have happened to him since he got there.  It's done nothing but get worse.  Not only that, I got sick and couldn't go to see him.  I went today with a mask on.  I got a phone call saying they were giving him a blood transfusion because they found he was bleeding internally.  They aren't sure where it's coming from.  When I got to the hospital I was shocked and saddened to see my Dad.  He looked terrible.  He was out of it, mumbling, jerking all over.  I said Hi Dad and he looked at me, recognizing me, and giving me a hi back but immediately fell back into whatever was happening to him.  As I sat there with my Mom, he said out loud asking if the girls were here yet, then went back to the mumbling.  I believe he was talking about my daughters who have been faithful in being there with their Grandfather.  I left the room to make phone calls to the rest of my children and to my sister.  Needless to say, my son in California is coming tonight, my brother and sister will be here tonight.  When the girls came into my Dad's hospital room he brightened up, and it's funny how they do that to him. In fact I just got a phone call from the nurse at the hospital saying they found an ulcer in his stomach and that he is resting comfortably and tired and sleeping.  So that's a good thing.  I guess my brother and sister and my other sister in Boston will be having a talk (via phone for Linda) about what to do with my Dad and Mom.  Obviously it's getting to the point where they are needing a lot of help now.  I'm a bit worried about my Mom,  she gets ill very easily and I'm afraid she's next.  My Dad still has to have a angiogram to find a blockage that they have found in his heart, and plan on putting in a stint.   Me?  I'm so tired and winded from being sick, coughing, runny nose (hey come back here nose!) and foggy head.  A lot of good I am.  I'll be going back to work tomorrow, but I'm closer to the hospital at work than I am at home.  And I'm only a phone call away.  Oh goodness gracious, I'm tired.
