My kitties.....

Star, my baby.  She is 1-1/2 year old now.  Still very playful and puts up with Tiah.

This is my other cat.  Her name is Squeek.  She's about 10 years old and going strong.  She's pretty shy, but loves to sleep right next to me every night.  She won't have anything to do with Tiah.

My sweet little kitty Spot.  He died last spring after getting hit by a car.  Such a loveable little guy.  I buried him in my back yard.  He was barely a year old when he died.

My Hobie.  Poor little guy.  He is about 14 years old right here, I had been out walking one day, when this darling little kitten started following me.  I picked him up and tried to find his home, but when I couldn't, I took him home with me.   12 years later he just started wasting away little by little.  I finally made the awful decision to have him put to sleep.  He died only a week before Spot.  Losing two of them within a week was so, so very hard.  He is also buried in my back yard.

They are all so pretty and sweet! How sad that Spot got hit by a car...such a pretty kitty. Blessings to you for giving them all such a good home to live in.

Hi Susan, You know how much I love kitties. Thank you for sharing the photos of your babies with me. It's always so sad to lose them. My friend Mary's son has taken in a stray and yesterday for the first time, she let me pet her. It was music to my ears to hear her purr.

I feel your pain...in both the last situations. My oldest daughter brought home a kitten when it was two days old. She was going to college with a full load, working full time, and did most of the bottle feeding of the kitten. It was around a year old and got hit by a car...that was in 2002 and sometimes my arms still ache to hold him. He was our first Bubbie.

Years ago, we went fishing to the strip pits...kept hearing this cry. Before we left, Roger waded/swam across the way and it was a little tabby...he held it up and asked if I wanted it...the rest is history.

He was my baby, he had a bad cold that took i don't know how many trips to the vet to get rid of. At one time he and i were both on the same antibiotic at the same time.

Lot of stuff I am leaving out, but he did the wasting away and got dimentia...and we had to have him put to sleep. He is buried in my garden spot. He loved to lay in the garden in the summer...I always said he was in his own private jungle.

We bury our critters in our backyard too. We lost three dogs last year that we'd had over ten years. One much longer than that. It's hard.

Great cats, I am amazed your last one is 14 years old. You must be giving them a good home.

Greetings,
Filip

It's miserable to lose a pet but to lose two at practically the same time must have been horrendous!
