Tuachan Wash....

This used to be a very, very small stream.  Flat land.
Then we had 3.5 inches in Ivins where I live.
This little stream, turned into a raging river.  Filled up a pond that had a dam in front of it.  The dam broke and  well, it flooded homes, businesses and caused a lot of damage.  I took Tiah down there to explore and I couldn't believe how much the little stream changed.

It is pretty amazing what a creek can do. We have a river/ creek ( depending on the time of year) in front of our cabin, and it can absolutely flabbergast you what it can do. We have had 2 decks washed away, and now have a deck that rises on 16 foot steel beams.... last year, it came within an inch of coming off of the beams. Your river looks pretty impressive too. Great shots!

I would imagine that red clay is very, very hard to clean up, too... be careful out there exploring, the ground could be unstable & fall thru on ya'll.

If only we could tame the weather. How often do we have that 'perfect weather' day? Not too often. I hope everyone stayed safe in the flood!
