Ghost story....

Wanna read another true story in my life?  Well one day I went to pick up my step-daughter who was about 4 years old at the time.  It was a 2 hour trip one way to pick her up.  Anyway, it was afternoon before we got home.  We had walked in the house and I was in my bedroom when Ashalynn walked in and said, "Mom, who is that man?"  My head shot up and I said, what man?  She said, that one, down the hall.  Holy Cow! someone was in the house!  I ran to where she was and I didn't see anything, so I grabbed her and ran out the back door.  Now mind you this is a very old and big house.  Attic, basement, the whole nine yards, which is pretty unheard of in California.  Anyway, when we got outside, I put her down and told her to stay where she was.  I went back in to check the house.  Bat in hand, I went through every room, bathroom, closet, shower, basement, attic, checked the doors for break in, checked the windows, everything was in order.  The front door was dead-bolted, so if anyone went out that way, I would have known.  I would have heard it, even outside.  It was a big door, and never shut quietly.  I came back out to see my little step-daughter sitting obediently by the tree I had placed her at.  I asked her what did you see?  She said that a man was standing at the end of the hall.  Hmmm....never figured that out.  What do you think?  Ghost or man?  I'm betting on a ghost considering all the weirdorama things that used to happen in that house.

I am with our sweet and dear TexWisGirl.

I too believe in souls that hang around for a variety of reasons. Was that the only time he showed himself? I would be so curious that I would try to find out who lived in the house in the past.

And, as Tricia well said, real people are scarier!
Love ya!
