Work for it.....

I actually feel like writing today.  Life has been good.  Ever since I got Tiah (my puppy) my life has changed.  I no longer sit on the couch watching TV for hours on end.  I no longer cuss the cat, and wish my  life would change somehow.  After I got the puppy, I wondered seriously if I had done the right thing.  Oh my, the work it involves taking care of puppy, the training, the trying to keep things put away so it doesn't get chewed up.  Was I up to it?  One night I was saying my prayers before I climbed in bed, and I brought the question up before God.  I slept and when I awoke the next morning the thought came into my mind, "You have to work for what you want."  Now this is not a earth shattering statement, but it burned bright in my mind and heart.  YES, I do, and if raising a rambunctious puppy to get a dog I can have as a companion and one that would get me out of the house and off the couch, then I was gonna have to work for it.  Just as you have to work for anything you want or need.  A beautiful garden, green lawn, fruitful trees, a clean home, a healthy strong body, a social life, to quit smoking, or anything else that might be harmful to you.  YOU, have to work for it, and I believe that if a person does, you will receive the divine help you need and ask for.  Each day that has passed it has gotten a bit better.  And, my butt isn't planted on the couch anymore.  I am discovering places around here I didn't know existed.  Awesome places.  I have also noticed that I am getting stronger, more happy, more tired and sleeping like a log, and I just have grown to love that dog with all my heart.  I took her to the vet today to get her second set of shots.  She is 3 months old and weighs 24 lbs already.  The vet tech told me her paws look like Great Dane paws.  My mouth fell open.  Big is ok, but not that big.  Yikes!  Star my kitten is getting fixed today.  I go to pick her up pretty soon.  She won't be in the mood to wrestle with Tiah for awhile.

Well, I have a baby grandson asleep in my bed right now, taking a needed nap.  Tiah is on the couch asleep next to me, and I'm talking to you and watching BenHur.  My youngest daughter just bought a beautiful home, and I've been over there helping pull weeds, and clean up the front and back yards.  It was in foreclosure for awhile, so it needs some TLC.  Anyway, I'm tired too.  Hope you all have a great day and week and thanks for listening!

You're absolutely right & what I need is more exercise, but I don't want a dog, I'm a cat person, so maybe I'll start walking w/ my aunt again... I gotta do something or I'll be as big as my house! =0
