Home today....

I'm home today.  Been ill since Christmas Day.  I had to leave early from the family party because I was so fatigued and I hurt so bad all over I could hardly move.  Today, I'm not in as much pain, but still tired. Some kind of flu I guess.  Anyway, I'm watching the news and they are talking about the bad behavior of people in the stores, and in the malls.  Punching people, rioting in the Mall of America, over zealous people climbing over each other with no regard for each other to get to things.  THINGS!  To get that sale price, or get what they want before it's all gone.  What has happened to us?  Have things become so important that we will hurt another just to have it?  I wonder what happened to etiquette, stuff like please, thank you, excuse me, I'm sorry.  What happened to a smile on our face and getting a smile back?  I smile at people in stores, and all I ever seem to get back is a look like I just got off the crazy train.  I just shake my head at stuff like this.  What do you think?

I think that sort of behavior is really very sorry. I do think though that there are some very nice people and that this bad stuff is not always the norm. It is just what makes the news the most. When it does occur though it should be severely dealt with as it is not acceptable behavior. I am really sorry that you have not been feeling well. What a lousy time to get sick. HOpe you are feeling much better soon. Hugs from Texas.

i'm sorry you're sick, but hope you're getting better! less achy sounds like it, at least!

sadly, the retail markets feed this stupidity with their frenzied marketing campaigns and crazy hours to make people rabid for 'stuff'. not me. thanks, no. and yes, i still smile and whistle as i shop. :)

Oh Susan..
I'm so sorry that you've been sick!!
That's the worst!
Take care of you ,and feel better soon.

As for the rude..crazy shoppers.
More power to them. I'll stay home and spend time with my family, and be grateful that my folks raised me better than to act like a complete rude fool.

I am one person who will never camp out for days to be the first to see a movie, get an item at a mall, deal with a crowd of unruly people. People pushing and shoving, trampling others to get a "bargain" makes you wonder where their values are.

Take care, and enjoy your Christmas present.
