This is a Ocotillo plant, commonly known around here as the lipstick plant. They are really beautiful in a deserty sort of way. They are everywhere here.

Oooh! Ocotillo! One of my favorite desert plants. I made a necklace for my mother in law with Unakite and Red Coral and named it "Ocotillo" :)
