The Heat

I keep seeing blog writings about the heat.  Here in Southern Utah, we are almost always in the triple digits during the summer.  We all kid about putting on our sweaters when it's 90 degrees.  We don't have the humidity that the midwest and east have, so that makes it a bit more bearable.  I remember one summer it was so hot, everyday.  One day it got to 115 degrees, and the electricity went out because the wires melted to the ground and caused a fire.  So we sat outside with the kiddy pool and hose and kept ourselves cool until the power came back on.  It was about 4 to 5 hours before it came back on.  Luckily it hasn't gotten that hot this summer.  So... even though it business as usual for us to have high temperatures, I feel for you all.  The humidity makes it almost unbearable.  Take care, all of you out there, and don't forget the hose, it can sure make you feel better!!!!!

Thinking of you

Susan
