Where I'm from....

I thought I'd show you some old pictures from Riverside, California, where I'm from.  The spanish building with Riverside on it, is where I used to go to the movies!
The bridge that crosses the road is still there.  It leads to Mt. Rubidoux.
This part of this Mission Bridge runs right into Mt. Rubidoux.  It crosses the river that separates Riverside from Rubidoux, or what we called West Riverside.
This is the Mission Bridge heading out towards West Riverside.  I've seen that river flood to right over the bridge before.  I've also seen it on fire a few times.
The Mission Inn.  This Inn was built in the late 1800's.
Mt. Rubidoux.  I used to walk this mountain almost everyday.  I lived close by in a historical neighborhood.  Beautiful area.
 The Courthouse in Riverside.
The old railway station.  It has been restored and a rail line was put in for people commuting to Los Angeles by rail.  I have a clock hanging on my wall that was from the station before it was restored.  When I was a kid, we would take the train from here to Salt Lake City to see relatives in Cache Valley Utah.
The Mission Inn.  IF you ever get to this part of the country, you should stay a couple of days at the Mission Inn.  It has so many interesting places to walk around.  You can get lost in that hotel.  It is awesome and has been restored and made earthquake safe.
The hotel is so unique and interesting.  It is part of a street mall with all kinds of cool little shops.  My work used to be on that mall.  It was so neat that I could walk to work and back.  But unfortunately the office moved to a bigger building to far away to walk anymore.

You have been very blessed to live in scenic areas with great places to walk/hike! The architecture of the Inn is gorgeous and it was fun seeing the theater from your younger days!
