I am always amazed at the huge rocks that let go and tumble down the hillside. How long has it been since one of those big things moved? How much longer till more hillside loosen and fall away.
Tiah had a ball in the water.
So many layers of rock and dirt. The history that is there, if only I were a geologist.
Look at the hole in that rock. Home I'm sure to some animal especially at night.
I love the lichen on this rock. Notice the burrowed out hole on the right.

My Dad used to love watching westerns when I was young to I see these photos and immediately think of cowboys and Indians. :) Beautiful shots!
i just love what you find to show us. love the terrain, colors, rocks, sky. TIAH!!! she's beautiful!
I'm guessing these rocks are volcanic? The broken ones almost look like petrified wood.

My brother always talks about they used to go to the top of the mountain (in Tennessee) and roll rocks down the side of the mountain for fun...I know this is different to there but still makes me think of them.
